Friends, family and the Dromore community braved the rain last weekend to turn out in support of Mountvale Private Nursing home’s Annual Summer Fete.

Events atnd attractions included a raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac, cakes, buns and sweets stall, face-painters and live music and a barbecue forced into the kitchen by the weather.

Every year Mountvale’s Activities Therapist, Debbie McCready and Eileen McQuade put a tremendous amount of effort into the Summer Fete, with community and local business weighing in with donations.

This year’s donors included Spar, Coburns Electrical, Country Choice, Jackie’s, SuperValu, Grahams Public Image, Mulhollands, Culls, Serenity, Johnstons Chemist, Ashlee Hagan Hair, Debbie’s Hair and Alison Morton.

“We wish to thank them all,” a spokesperson said.

The event raised £620 for the Residents’ Comfort Fund.

“Mountvale would like to thank everyone for their continued support,” the spokesperson added.
