‘Connect’ looks into breakthrough

Dromore-based upport group ‘Connect’ is holding an information and support evening for parents of children with additional educational and support needs, to explore a learning breakthrough.

The group invites local parents/carers to Dromore Town Hall at 7.30pm on Thursday, February 13.

A spokesperson said, “Many children struggle with the levels of concentration needed to reach their full potential in school.

“This month we will be looking at The Learning Breakthrough programme, which deals with the root causes of Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders.”

Six years ago Susan Steele from Newtownabbey researched and found a programme that would help her two children with low concentration, slow reading speed, difficulty retaining information, getting to sleep, etc and since June 2010, more than 200 families have benefited from doing the exercises in the programme.

Anyone wishing to attend on Thursday, February 13 is asked to contact Judith Clarke on 07764 200870.
