Upper Bann MP David Simpson has praised the work of local volunteers for the recent coffee morning they hosted in Banbridge for the Southern Area Hospice.
“I want to pay a huge tribute to those volunteers who gave up their time to host the coffee morning to raise much needed funds for the Southern Area Hospice,” he said.
“We all know someone who has received support from the Hospice in some form and each of us knows that the support that they provide is essential in helping families and suffers alike.
“Saturday was a damp cold morning but it was great to see the spirit of the Banbridge people as they braved the elements to come and donate to this very worthy cause.”
Southern Area Hospice Services (SAHS) provides invaluable support and care to people living within the Southern Health Board Area, who are suffering from Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and AIDS
All their services are provided free of charge but rely heavily on voluntary donations to continue providing this special care.
