The members of the Ulster Unionist Party Upper Bann Association hosted a successful fundraising breakfast in Banbridge Orange Hall last Saturday morning.

The breakfast was opened by Alderman Arnold Hatch who gave a fitting and moving tribute to the late Councillor George Savage who passed away last Tuesday evening.

Describing George, who was the Association’s President, as a true friend and colleague, Ald. Hatch recounted George’s many decades of dedicated public service in the Ulster Defence Regiment and as an Ulster Unionist Craigavon Councillor and former MLA.

Mr Hatch also recalled the many organisations with which George was associated, including as a member of the Loyal Order’s, a supporter of charities and an advocate for farmers.

The key speaker at the Big Breakfast was Billy Dixon, an expert in personal and corporate branding.

The Association would like to send a special thanks to everyone who came along to support the event and to those who helped prepare and serve the breakfasts.
