Tractor Run raises o ver £4000 for Marie Curie

Pairc na N’Og was full to capacity on Sunday May 21 as Tullylish GAC played host to their very first Tractor Run.

The Laurencetown GAA club had an array of tractors and machinery on display, amusements and farm yard animals as well as Hugo Duncan to entertain the crowds.

With hundreds of spectators and almost 100 tractors in attendance, this was a family event for the whole community that catered for every age group.

Co-ordinator of the event Eamonn McCartan spoke about the level of success the rural club had achieved for Marie Curie: “We are delighted that the tractor run was such a huge event for not only the club but the entire community.”

He continued: “With months of planning, everything fell into place and to raise a substantial amount of money for Marie Curie was phenomenal. It was a chance for us to give back.”

Tullylish GAC would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Tractor Run and for all the donations big or small, as they all make a difference.

The next event Tullylish will be preparing for is the 5K/10K Run on Sunday June 25. In association with Kevin Be ll Repatriation Fund, large crowds are again anticipated to descend upon Laurencetown.
