Time for a big Spring clean

THIS April sees the launch of the Big Spring Clean 2013, Northern Ireland’s largest volunteering campaign aimed at cleaning up local areas and improving the environment.

The campaign is run by TIDY Northern Ireland, an environmental charity which works towards a greener and cleaner Northern Ireland by organising awareness raising campaigns, increasing volunteering opportunities and reporting on local environmental quality.

Last year over 26,000 people got involved in the campaign and this year Banbridge District Council are looking for your help in making this year’s campaign the biggest yet.

For those wishing to take part, there are a number of events being held in Banbridge and throughout the country in the month of April. There is also the opportunity to organise your own event on a date and time that suits.

For information on local Big Spring Clean projects or to register your own event visit www.bigspringcleanni.org or contact Banbridge District Council Technical services Department on 028 4066 0604.
