Police complaints 'far too high'

A female member of staff pursued two thieves through a supermarket after a t-shirt was stolen from a store at Newry Street in Banbridge last Wednesday September 17 around 1.20pm.

Police in Banbridge would like to talk to two males, one of which was wearing glasses. Both were described as being around 18 years of age wearing white t-shirts.

Constable Gareth Hall, Banbridge Response, explained: “The males were pursued by a female member of staff and ran through Supervalu and made off from the rear of the supermarket.

“I would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to this incident and can be contacted on the 101 number.”
