ENTER a winter wonderland in Lurgan town centre opened by Santa Claus himself who rode in on the Lough Neagh Rescue Boat to launch his magical grotto.

The glorious grotto is decked out in traditional festive cheer and will be situated at 10a High Street, Lurgan - next to Millar’s Shoe Store.

Create some magical memories by bringing your little ones to visit Santa, receive a gift and framed photo and take part in glittering craft-making in the Elves’ Workshop!

The grotto will be open from 11am to 6pm on the following dates: Saturday, December 1, Friday, December 7, Saturday, December 8, Friday, December 14, Saturday, December 15 and from Monday, December 17 through to Saturday, December 22.

“Ho Ho Ho - it’s the season to visit my fantastic new grotto in Lurgan,” said Santa Claus live from Lapland . “I’m looking forward to meeting all the boys and girls throughout Craigavon and hearing their Christmas requests. Mrs Claus, the Elves and I have been very busy making smashing presents, which I want to drop down their chimneys on Christmas Eve. See you at the grotto.”

The cost is £4 per child or £10 for a family of three children and includes a gift wrapped present and a framed photo.

Local charities supported through the grotto are PIPS Upper Bann, Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul.

This initiative is jointly funded by DSD Lurgan Revitalisation Project and Craigavon Borough Council and assisted by Lurgan Forward.
