TINYLIFE, Northern Ireland’s premature and sick baby charity, are hosting their annual Reindeer Walk at Lurgan Park on Saturday 1st December sponsored by Debenhams, Rushmere.
There will be two sittings this year at 9.45am and 11.45am.
This year the event will have a special visit from Prancer, Santa’s actual reindeer. There will be an opportunity for the children to meet and have their picture taken along with Prancer.
There will also be festive carol singing and each child will receive a set of reindeer ears for their walk led by Santa’s elves around the lake. On completion of the walk Santa will arrive to see each child.
Adults will be treated to tea and coffee, and shortbread by the Windsor Bakery in Banbridge.
Participants will have the opportunity to win fabulous prizes sponsored by Debenhams, Rushmere. Every child will receive a small token from Santa, courtesy of Debenhams, Rushmere.
Community & Events Officer, Andrea Milligan says, “Christmas is always a special time to have a new baby, but for parents of a premature baby those feelings of joy and excitement turn to fear and anxiety making the days and weeks that follow a daunting and traumatic experience.
“Support our families by joining us on our walk on December 1 and treating the children to a fun, festive day out.
“You can offer your support to those parents by joining us on our Reindeer Walk. The route is suitable for everyone in the family and those taking part will receive a pair of fun reindeer antlers.
“There is no entry fee but each child is required to raise a minimum of £10 in sponsorhip. The family who hands in the highest amount in sponsorship on the day will receive a special prize, donated by Debenhams, Rushmere.”
To register please either text Andrea on 07702 384791 or email email@example.com with your name and number in your party and timeslot and sponsorship forms will be sent to you.
