ULSTER Unionist MLA Jo-Anne Dobson has praised the organisers of Gospel Fest 2012 which was held over four days from last Friday in Donaghcloney.
The event, which included national and international artists was attended by people from across Northern Ireland and further afield.
Jo-Anne said, “It was marvellous to see so many people coming to the local area to take part in a wonderful celebration of praise. The organisers had arranged so many different artists to perform for us and the professional organisation of the events all added to a tremendous atmosphere.
“On Sunday afternoon we heard the honesty and raw emotion of Syd Little of the comedy duo Lyttle and Large. He recounted how his Faith enabled him to deal with the loss his son to heroin, as we in the audience sat open mouthed listening to this truly amazing gentleman.
“It was also great to see so many Christian charities represented and to see the interest which they were generating. The economic boost to the area will have brought much needed investment over the weekend and beyond
“This was the third annual Gospel Fest and given its huge success I, for one, am very much looking forward to Gospel Fest 2013.”
