AS part of their fundraising efforts, Mossvale Arena Party hosted an exclusive evening of vintage glamour and retro fun, on Tuesday April 3 in the opulent surroundings of the Belmont Hotel.

In a bid to raise funds for local volunteers from the Mossvale Arena Party to participate in the 2012 Olympics, they enlisted the services of Old Tea Rose Antiques and Vintage Wear to help showcase a Cat Walk demonstration of 40’s/50’s/60’s/70’s & 80’s authentic vintage clothing and accessories.

Over 200 patrons were transferred back to the eras of classic chic boutique, featuring vibrant and eclectic fashion from time gone by. Garments from the fabulous 40s, flirty 50’s, swinging 60s, right up to the 80s were put on show with a fantastic mix of furs, accessories, handbags, shoes, day dresses and sparkly evening gowns all modelled by local volunteers.

A good night of fun and frolics “vintage style” was had by fashionista and Mossvale supporters alike with nearly 200 outfits put on show. The night accumulated in a finale of Wedding Dresses dating back from the 1980’s to the 1920’s provided by Heather Patterson’s personal collection along with donated dresses by Patrons attending on the night. The night was completed with a range of exclusive retail stands to purchase from including the chance to win a range of quality raffle prizes!

The Mossvale Arena Party would like to extend their thanks to all those who supported and aided organising the event along with a number of Sponsors who helped contribute to the nights success. These include Old Tea Rose Antiques & Vintage Wear, United Wine Merchants, Kelly Flowers, Botanica, Steven Mawhinney – Party DJ NI, Sporting Images NI and The Belmont Hotel

All proceeds from the night were in aid of the volunteers from Mossvale Arena Party for their 2012 Olympic Fund.
