Motorcycle club donates to USPCA

MEMBERS of the Rathfriland Motorcycle Club recently completed a ride out to the Newry branch of the USPCA and delivered a donation of approximately 200kg of dried food and trays of tinned food to their facilities just outside Bessbrook.

The donation was very much appreciated by the staff of the USPCA whose motto is “Promoting the Welfare of all Animals Through Education and Enforcement”.

The ride out left Rathfriland Town Square and, aided by a couple of cars to transport the goods, proceeded to Bessbrook were they got a warm welcome from Philip Burns, the enforcement officer.

The Rathfriland Motorcycle Club would like to thank those who attended the ride out and all those who give us items for donation. A special word of thanks must go to Mr Alex Livingston, manager of Jollies Pet Foods in Banbridge for his personal donation and the very generous gift on behalf of the company.

There are a number of events still to come including a Club Run on September 18 and the John Ingram Memorial Motorcycle Charity Run on October 2.
