Warning to dog owners

POLICE in Banbridge are advising dog owners to keep their pets secure following two recent incidents of dogs being injured in road traffic collisions.

On Tuesday, 29 January, a small Jack Russell dog was injured on Banbridge Road, Gilford, and a black Labrador was injured on the A1 Southbound, close to Dromore. Both dogs required veterinary treatment.

The PSNI are asking dog owners to ensure their animals are well secured and kept away from main roads. They are also asking motorists to be vigilant and report any animals wandering on roads.
