Teen arrested after school burglary

Police in Banbridge have arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of burgling Banbridge High School in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called after a report of suspicious activity in the Primrose Gardens area.

The teen was found inside a classroom and arrested at the school on suspicion of burglary. While it is understood nothing was taken it is believed damage was caused to a door, window and electrics.

The boy was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
