Police investigate woman’s sudden death

POLICE are investigating the sudden death of a 47-year-old woman in Dromore.

A PSNI spokesman said the woman died in the Meganlis Park area of the town on Saturday, April 21.

One man had been arrested on Saturday but was later released unconditionally, police said.

A post-mortem examination was carried out and police are continuing their investigations.

A PSNI spokesman said they were not appealing for any information and that they had no further comments to make at this stage.

It is understood that the woman was buried in Dromore on Tuesday.

Basil McCrea MLA, who has a constituency office in the town, said, “This is a terrible tragedy and obviously we will have to wait to find out about the circumstances around this death.

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of this woman at this time.”
