Heroes Footsteps trip planned
FRIENDS of the 36th (North Antrim) are organising a coach trip around various local sites of interest in the North Antrim area relating to the Great War.
As pat of the overall plan to pay homage to the fallen of the Great War, the trip will begin with a local guided tour explaining the background and telling personal stories of men who enlisted to fight.
As we enter the ‘decade of centenaries’, this is the first of many events which will be organised by the Friends of the 36th (North Antrim) and they would invite anyone interested in attending to contact them on 07775 444266 or email admin@36th-ulster.com
The tour will start from Ballymoney at 10am on Saturday, October 27th and will include a three course lunch. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come basis.
There will also be a military memorabilia exhibition on Monday and Tuesday October 29 and 30 in Killyrammer old schoolhouse at 11am. If anyone would like to offer items for display, please get in touch.
