Fresh appeal for missing man

POLICE searching for missing Harmony Hill man Eric Partridge have appealed to two men who it is thought may have seen him on the Lagan Towpath on the day he disappeared to contact them.

The last confirmed sighting of Mr Partridge was by a teenage girl at the Towpath on Sunday, February 14 at around 6.45pm. She said she had walked past a man fitting his description. She told police he was talking to a man who was offering him help. Another man with a dog was also nearby at the time.

Police say they have been following the National Search Strategy guidelines and its advisor will be contacting them in the near future to see what else can be done to locate Mr Partridge.

Since his disappearance police in Lisburn have searched the Lagan Towpath with sniffer dogs and a private underwater search company was used to search the river on two separate occasions.

On February 28, two weeks after the last sighting, police returned to the Towpath between Lambeg bridge and Lisburn where uniformed officers handed out leaflets.

Police said when he was last seen Mr Partridge had 31 on him and that no money has been taken from his bank account since his disappearance.

Geoff Baird of Lisburn PSNI, said they were continuing to follow every available lead.

"We have alerted hostels, banks and off licences and places that he may have frequented and anyone who may have seen him is asked to get in touch" he said.

Anyone who may have seen Mr Partridge can contact the detectives in Lisburn on 0845-6008000.
