Free pizza and movies at fun day

MAGHERALLY Parish Church is holding its annual family fun day, tractor and vintage vehicle run, auction and dog show on Saturday, September 8.

The main sponsors for this year’s event are Domino’s Pizza and Iveagh Cinema. On the day Domino’s will distribute complimentary pizza slices and the Iveagh will be showing movies on the small screen.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Chunk of Funk with their smooth musical repertoire and The Patience Family from Dromore who will play a range of traditional melodies on the harp. The fun starts at 12pm with a children’s fancy dress parade from the church hall to the rectory grounds.

Registration for the dog show is at 12.30pm with the show starting at 1pm sharp. This year’s show introduces a new fancy dress class in which your dog wears some form of fancy dress - don’t worry, anything goes!

The tractor and vintage vehicle run heads off at 1.15pm from the church car park.

There will be the usual range of foods including traditional teas, barbecue, stews and chilli. There will be a wide variety of stalls comprising farm produce, books, cakes, white elephant and tombola. Other attractions this year include Maherally’s Olympics which will have a variety of fun and games for children of all ages.
