Drugs worth £18k seized after house search

EIGHTEEN thousand pounds worth of drugs have been seized following the search of a house in Banbridge.

The suspected mephedrone - known as a ‘legal high’ until it was made a Class B drug two years ago - was recovered earlier this week after a 28-year-old man was arrested by detectives in E District’s Tactical Crime Unit.

The man, arrested at the Moyallen Road on Monday evening on suspicion of driving and drug offences, was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
