Bus station a necessity - Kelly

SDLP Upper Bann MLA Dolores Kelly has meet with a cross-party delegation from Banbridge council and Stephen Moutray during the regional development committee at Stormont.

“The group discussed the pressing need for a bus station in Banbridge and expressed disappointment in Translink for not moving with significant speed on this issue.

“Last June I pressed the Minister for Regional Development on what economic appraisals were being undertaken to put in a new bus station in Banbridge. I am very disappointed in the lack of progress on this issue.

“I will continue to press the Minister for a bus station in the town which will also bring great economic benefits. Planning application has been lodged and a business case from the department has been devised.”
