POLICE in Banbridge have recovered the remains of a badger in a field at Lisnaree bridge.

A member of the public reported finding a decapitated badger just before 2pm on Wednesday, 15 February. Officers attended and recovered the remains close to a Sett.

Police believe the badger was killed through badger baiting and are appealing to anyone who lives in the local area and noticed any activity over the last few days to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
