£450k Housing Executive scheme gets underway

More than 250 Housing Executive homes in the Laurencetown and Loughbrickland areas are benefitting from a £450,000 housing scheme which is currently underway.

The scheme includes 252 Housing Executive homes in Lawrencetown and Loughbrickland. The external works in both schemes typically include servicing or replacing external doors and windows, repairing roofs, external walls, guttering, fascia and soffits, paths, fencing and railings, as well as repainting.

The two schemes will be delivered by Bann Ltd at a cost of £447,014 and will include 355 dwellings in Laurencetown, Loughbrickland and across the Banbridge District.

Welcoming the work, the Housing Executive’s Acting Banbridge Manager, Denise McNally said, “This significant investment is great news for our tenants and demonstrates our commitment to providing well maintained homes in Banbridge. The scheme is intended to maintain the external fabric of these homes and is providing a range of general repairs as well as repainting the properties and will give the whole area a real lift.

“As with any scheme, consultation is of key importance and we will continue to liaise with tenants and their representatives throughout the duration of the scheme to ensure that they are kept informed of progress and to address any issues which may arise.”
