Call to create ‘no cold calling’ zones

Banbridge Policing Community and Safety Partnership (PCSP) are encouraging Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators to create ‘No cold calling’ zones at homes covered by current schemes.

The PCSP is supporting the first local launch in N.I of ‘No cold calling’ zones, an initiative that has been developed by Trading Standards and the PSNI Policing With the Community branch.

Banbridge PCSP Vice-Chairman Mr Jonathan Murphy, said, “Banbridge PCSP would like to invite all local NW Co-ordinators to attend a public meeting on February 26 starting at 7pm in The Belmont Hotel where they will get the opportunity to talk to the PSNI and the NI Fire and Rescue Service about the services that are provided to local communities by these PCSP partners as well as sharing information between themselves and identifying local projects that could help to support and promote NW in 2014/15.”
