South Down NI21 Assembly Member John McCallister has come out in support of Action MS - the leading multiple sclerosis charity in Northern Ireland - as the organisation launched its first-ever ‘Action Week’.
Last week saw a series of fundraising events taking place across the province in a bid to raise money to support and care for those living with multiple sclerosis in Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland has the second highest incidence of multiple sclerosis in the world.
Mr McCallister told the Banbridge Leader, “Action MS is a ‘home grown’ charity that has been working in Northern Ireland since 1976 and the work they do is just remarkable.”
“They empower people with multiple sclerosis to maintain control in their own lives by offering a wide range of services and advice free of charge.”
