Five year-old Grace suffers from a severe heart condition and this is now an annual event. On Saturday over £3,327 was raised.

Speaking after attending the event along with DUP colleagues, MLA Carla Lockhart said: “A day like this is all about highlighting the illness that Grace has and also the amazing work done by both the Children’s Heartbeat Trust and Donard School.

“I am delighted that such a large amount of money was raised and congratulate Aron and Judith for all the work they put in organising this and all those who helped.

“It’s never too late to donate and anyone can find the Facebook page with the contact details for Aron, Judith or via my office.”

Ulster Unionist MLA Jo-Anne Dobson said: “Once again Banbridge came out in force to support little Grace McKee - Banbridge’s Heartbeat Princess!

“Grace has been through so much and is a true inspiration to all of us.”
