Father Ted night for charity

A CHARITY night with a difference is being held in the Belmont Hotel in June to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Tedjest is a Father Ted charity night taking place on June 14 in the Belmont Hotel, Banbridge,

Based on the very popular 90’s sitcom, that has crossed the generations and is loved by all, the night guarantees a great time for a great cause.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the show kicks off at 8pm with a ‘Lovely Girls’ competition, sponsored by The Outlet and coached by beauty queen Taylor-Rae Hamilton (Face of Northern Ireland). A total of 16 local lovelies will model clothes from LK Bennett, Olsen, Edinburgh Woolen Mill and Chantilly Lace and compete to be crowned Miss Tedjest 2013.

Iveagh Movie Studios sponsor the second act with a Battle of the Bands – ‘My Lovely Horse’ during which five local bands will perform their own versions of the song from the show.

Members of the audience will have many chances to take part with a best dressed ‘Golden Cleric’ award, kick Bishop Brennan competition and, of course, the star of all charity evenings, the raffle.

Later in the night DJ Stevie G will be providing the tunes to find the best ‘dancing priest’.
