Pupils at New Bridge get healthy and active

Pupils from New Bridge Integrated College recently took part in Healthy Eating Week at the school.

Year 9 students were busy creating healthy fruit salads for break time treats and there were lots of hints and tips shared throughout the week,

The challenges set for the students during the week included drinking more water, making sure they have breakfast, having their five a day, getting active, and trying something new.

The healthy eating week kicked off with a special assembly for the whole school, which included a simple quiz for everyone to enjoy.

Pupils played games to promote the getting active aspect of the week and a tracker helped everyone to keep track of their achievements.

During the week the students learnt a lot about how to lead a healthier lifestyle and were keen to put it into action.

Everyone at New Bridge Integrated College thoroughly enjoyed trying healthier food and getting more active during Healthy Eating Week, and are looking forward to putting the tips they learnt into action.
