Students at New Bridge Integrated College have been learning more about cyber bullying and how to stop it.
Year 8 students recently created a poster to stamp out cyber bullying to mark ‘Stop Cyberbullying Day’, which was held on Friday June 16.
The school also held a series of events and the topic was covered during ICT classes during the week.
Stop Cyberbullying Day is an internationally recognised day of awareness and activities both on and offline that was founded and launched by The Cybersmile Foundation on June 17, 2012.
Annually, every third Friday in June, Stop Cyberbullying Day encourages people around the world to show their commitment toward a truly inclusive and diverse online environment for all – without fear of personal threats, harassment or abuse.
Each year, Stop Cyberbullying Day brings together corporations, educational institutions, media outlets, non-profit organizations, governments and public figures to speak out against cyberbullying and digital abuse of any kind and defend our human right to freedom of speech while adhering to the basic principle of mutual respect for others.
