Edith Hutchinson passed away on November 16, 2014.

She was born in Hillsborough on October 12, 1924 and attended Downshire Elementry School.

During the war years Edith worked in Altona Aircraft Factory.

She met William Hutchinson and they married in 1948. They moved into Mount Street, Dromore and then in 1969 Thornhill Drive, but regrettibly due to ill health over the past 18 months Edith has resided in Rathfriland Manor.

Edith was a devout member of Banbridge Road Presbyterian Church and one of the founder members of Dromore Church of the Nazerene. She was a faithful attendant at both places of worship until
recent years.

Edith and William both came to the Lord in their early married life and when widowed at an early age with two small boys, Edith testified how she relied upon her Lord for guidance and strength.

She is survived by sons Basil and Neville, daughters-in-law Elizabeth and Anne, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sympathy is extended to these and the wider family circle.

The funeral took place in Banbridge Road Presbyterian Church, Dromore on Wednesday, November 19, when Rev Trueman, Dr Lena Morrow and Rev Sommerville conducted the service. Organist at the service was Mrs Elizabeth McDonald. Afterwards interment took place in the adjoining burying ground.

Donations in Lieu of flowers, if desired, may be sent to John Gamble Funeral Director, 7 Meeting Street, Dromore, BT25 1AQ for Cardiac Risk in the Young (cheques made payable to John Gamble).
