Local MLA Jo-Anne Dobson has praised the organisers of a recent charity table quiz held in Banbridge Orange Hall in aid of the Children’s Heartbeat Trust.

The Ulster Unionist MLA praised Banbridge couple Judith and Aron McKee whose daughter Grace was the inspiration behind the quiz.

Commenting she said: “It was great to see a packed crowd filling the Orange Hall and coming out for a fantastic evening’s fun, as well as to support the charity in their aim of retaining heart surgery facilities for local children in Belfast.

“Grace is a true inspiration who has been through so much. Judith and Aron worked so hard alongside the Banbridge Apprentice Boys of Derry to arrange the quiz and it was a super night of fun, but with a serious message too.

“Earlier this year I campaigned with the charity, and alongside many local parents for the retention of Children’s Heart Surgery in Belfast, and as one of the signatories to the Children’s Heartbeat pledge, I will continue to support the retention of local services.

“Well done to everyone involved in the table quiz which helped to raise funds and awareness for this extremely important cause.”
