A Rathfriland man charged with assaulting a female, has been granted bail by the local court.
Krzysztof Tomasuik from Lissize Avenue, appeared at Banbridge Magistrates court last Thursday via video-link.
The court heard that the case had been adjourned from Monday’s court as police wanted to check his bail address which was agreed.
The 36 year old is charged with common assault on a female on 6 June.
His new bail address was given as High Street, Gilford and as part of his bail conditions, Tomasuik was banned from entering Rathfriland - defined by the 30mph signs.
He was told he must not try to make contact by any means to the injured party, and must adhere to a curfew between 11pm and 7am.
Furthermore he was told he must refrain from alcohol and submit to a breathalyser test when instructed by police.
He was released on his own bail of £300 and will return to court on 26 June to face the charges.
