Police are appealing for information following the report of a theft.

Constable Michael Brannigan said: “At approximately 9.30pm on Saturday 1 August 500 litres of home heating oil was stolen from a residential property on the Aughadery Road, Banbridge.

“A blue transit van was observed in the area at the time of the theft.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact Police at Banbridge on the non-emergency number 101. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.

“Police would also be keen to hear from the driver of the blue transit van as they may be able to help them with their enquiries.”
