Fishing items stolen from container

POLICE in Banbridge are appealing for information following a burglary from a container close to the lake on Lurgan Road.

Sometime between 5.30pm on Monday, 3 December and 11.20am on Wednesday, 5 December, entry was forced to the container and a quantity of fishing equipment taken. The equipment included 60 poles and lines, hooks and pole floats. The poles were telescopic and had both yellow and red handles.

This equipment belonged to a charity that works with young people in the local area and further afield. The charity is dependent on donations and this equipment will not be easily replaced.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this burglary or the whereabouts of the equipment to contact them in Banbridge on 0845 600 8000.
