Coffee morning at Holy Trinity Hall

On Friday morning the Banbridge Branch of the RUC George Cross Voluntary Welfare Support Group held their annual Christmas coffee morning at Holy Trinity Parish Church Hall, Seapatrick.

Supporting the group was local MLA Jo-Anne Dobson who praised the local group for their work.

She said: “This group works tirelessly to promote the welfare of former members of the RUC and it was great to see the support from the community at their coffee morning. Support from the community which they protected through the darkest days of the troubles.

“I was delighted to join and support them and commend the group for all they continue to do in hosting events and providing information and advice to their members.”

Local Welfare Support groups local proactive individuals who come together for the benefits of social, welfare and the leisure time activities of all participants.

The RUCGC-PSNI Benevolent Fund support the 28 welfare support groups throughout Northern Ireland.
