BANBRIDGE resident Cherith Wallace is celebrating after being named the Electric Ireland Young Business Personality of the Month in the latest edition of Business Eye, the leading Northern Ireland business publication.
Cherith is a Quality Systems Manager with Almac and is responsible for managing critical business systems for the global company which employs more than 3,000 and supplies pharmaceutical development services to over 600 of the world’s top pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
She manages a staff team across Almac’s facilities in Craigavon, North Carolina and Pennsylvania which provides support and guidance to staff on the use of electronic quality systems and has required Cherith to develop strong working relationships in Northern Ireland and the US to deliver efficiencies.
“Recently we completed a project to globalise our paperwork and processes across the three sites for use in production operations which has led to greater efficiency for us and a harmonised process for our customers.
We also implemented a Learning Management System to capture staff training. This has been significant as working in a highly regulated environment we can now provide training information at the touch of a button for all employees of Almac,” said Cherith.
Electric Ireland sponsors the Young Business Personality Award and Senior Customer Relationship Manager Clare McAllister said, “I’d like to congratulate Cherith on this award which is a deserved reflection of her dedication and management skills.
“It is important we continue to recognise and reward our young entrepreneurs.
At Electric Ireland we are dedicated to supporting Northern Ireland’s commercial sector and, through our involvement with the Young Business Personality of the Month, we are proud to recognise outstanding achievements from the business leaders of tomorrow. After all it is through nurturing and supporting entrepreneurial skills and talent that we can all help to build a strong and robust economy.”
