The John Hewitt Society, in association with Banbridge District Council, will present an evening of conversation and readings with two of Ireland’s finest writers, Carlo Gébler and Martina Devlin, as part of Banbridge’s Autumn Arts programme.
The prolific writers will read from their latest books in The Old Town Hall on Wednesday 15 October at 7.30pm.
Budding poets keen to develop skills can also book a place in a writing workshop with poet Ruth Carr earlier the same afternoon at 2.30pm.
Tony Kennedy, Director of The John Hewitt Society, is delighted to be involved with the Banbridge Autumn Arts programme. “It is great for John Hewitt Society to be able, once again, to bring to Banbridge high-profile writers of such standing as Ruth Carr, Martina Devlin and Carlo Gébler, writers we know have been very popular with audiences at our Summer School in Armagh or at other festivals throughout Ireland.
“We are grateful to Banbridge District Council for their invitation and for their continuing support.”
Tickets are £5 and advance booking is advised on 028 4062 0232. For further information see www.johnhewittsociety.org.
