THE eighth annual Marie Curie Cancer Care Scarva Stroll will be held on Saturday, June 7, at 10.30am.
This family event is simply a walk along the canal patch to raise much needed funds to give people with cancer the choice of remaining at home with their families at a very difficult time.
The event will start from the Scarva Visitors Centre and with a choice of three distances there should be a walk to suit everyone - whether you like to take a short stroll or be a little more energetic.
As Marie Curie Cancer Care celebrates 60 years of caring in 2008 they want to raise more funds to help more people who are terminally ill.
So bring the family and enjoy a little exercise - to take part all you have to do is raise a minimum sponsorship of £10 per family.
For more details or to obtain your form just ring Sandra on 028 8772 3989 or Amanda on 028 9088 2060 or email sandra.spence@mariecurie.org.uk.
On the day all participants will received a goody bag and there will be a prize for the top fundraiser and other spot prizes.
