ARTANA WI President Myrtle Meeke welcomed everyone to the January meeting including Miss Cassandra Sloan and the speaker Mr Gregg Somerville.

Cassandra, on behalf of the Sloan family, presented a beautiful vase to the WI in memory of the late Mrs Moira Sloan. The vase will be known as the Sloan Vase.

The annual dinner was held in February at the Rockmount Golf Club. President Myrtle Meeke extended a warm welcome to all present on a very wintry night, a delicious meal was enjoyed by all.

Mrs Ena McNeill was the birthday girl and the singing of A Countrywoman’s song brought the evening to a close.
