New year for WI

In January, Ballievey Women’s Institute President Kathleen Moore welcomed everyone to the first meeting of 2013 and wished all present a Happy New Year.

Members then sat back and enjoyed a screening of the comedy film ‘Waking Ned Devine’. This was followed by supper.

The competition ‘My Favourite Christmas Card’ was won by Barbara Moore with Anne Ashenhurst coming second.

The ballot was won by Joan Moore.

The evening closed with the singing of The Countrywomen’s Song.
