First appearance at Bronte Club for Dolly Varden

THE Bronte Music Club will host American band Dolly Varden, as they make their first ever appearance at the Rathfriland venue on Sunday, February 10.

Touring throughout 2013 to promote their new album ‘For a While’, Dolly Varden has been making music for almost two decades but their latest release explores how quickly that time has passed.

The band is built around the heartfelt singing and songwriting of husband and wife Steve Dawson and Diane Christiansen, the melodic and soulful guitar and lap steel playing of Mark Balletto, and the solid rhythm section of Matt Thobe on drums and Mike Bradburn on bass.

Remarkably the line-up has stayed the same for 18 years, the band producing six critically acclaimed albums, and having well received shows all over the USA and Europe.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the band play live at the Bronte Centre. Tickets for this performance are priced at £12.00 and can be purchased by contacting Banbridge Tourist Information at the F E McWilliam Gallery, 200 Newry Road, Banbridge on - Tel: 028 4062 3322. Doors open at 8.30pm for 9pm show.
