Chair encourages people to get fit

Banbridge Council Chairman, Olive Mercer, visited local business, FIT Banbridge, to celebrate their growing presence in the business community and to officially launch their extended fitness class timetable.

Councillor Mercer said she was delighted to support the business. She commented: “Since opening in 2010, FIT has developed an established presence in the town and rural community. I am delighted to see local business grow from strength to strength and I encourage all our citizens to experience the health benefits that exercise can bring.”

Founder of FIT, Lisa Hanna, who started her business aged 24, said: “We are delighted to welcome Councillor Mercer to the studio. “Her support encourages local entrepreneurialism among young people and helps us drive the business to achieve improvement in the health, fitness and general well-being of the local community.”
