Restore project recognised at presentation

THE highly successful Council Restore project achieved further recognition at a certificate presentation on 6 February in the Council Chamber.

Chair of the Council, Cllr Junior McCrum congratulated and commended participants of the Council’s Restore project on completeion of their training. certificates in Good Realtions and Civc Leadership(OCN Level 2) and Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 2).

Tom McRoberts, manager of Restore offered his congratulations and thanked People 1st , Peace III Engaging in Good Relations and the Council for their support to attain the success.

Tom said ‘Restore not only offers an innovative recycling facility to the residents of Banbridge but also offers a training and development opportunity to people within the District and beyond. By working in partnership with agencies such as People 1st and Peace III Engaging in Good Relations we are able to add value to the training provided through the project.”

The Peace III Engaging in Good Relations Team said, “We are delighted that we have been able to bring promoting community relations to the centre of education and economic opportunity. This event is the perfect way to mark the mid-way point of the Peace III Programme and highlights the positive work that is ongoing and will continue over the remainder of the Programme.”

The group achieved the Peace III, Engaging in Good Relations Priority is funded by the Special European Union’s Programme Body, through the Southern Cluster Partnership led by Newry & Mourne Council in partnership with Armagh, Banbridge, and Craigavon Councils and includes Louth and Monaghan.
