PARENTS and carers of children under five years old have enjoyed a morning of activities and information at Banbridge Leisure Centre and the Armagh City Hotel.

Organised by the Southern Health and Social Care Trust’s Early Years Forum, the event provided a wide range of information and advice for adults whilst entertaining the children.

Early years organisations and providers from the statutory, community and voluntary sectors were on hand to offer parents and carers advice on a number of topics.

Entertainment included a magic show, balloon modelling and face painting, Pet Connections, Red Funky Bucket entertainers and baby sensory activities.

Ciarán Eastwood, Head of Early Years and Parenting Services for the Southern Health and Social Care Trust said: “There is a broad range of information and advice available to parents and carers of young children but they may not always know how to readily access it or mightn’t have the time to do so because of their caring responsibilities.

“We are delighted that so many parents and carers attended the event to avail of this information in a child friendly and stress free environment.”
