Drumlough Highland Pipe Band pipes and drums tuition

FOLLOWING on from the success of the Highland Bagpipe and Drumming Tuition held in 2012, Drumlough Highland Pipe Band has announced that it is holding further bagpipe and Drumming tuition classes again in 2013.

The bagpipe tuition will run every Tuesday night for a period of 20 weeks beginning on Tuesday 5th February 2013. It will take place in the newly refurbished Drumlough Orange Hall from 7:30pm to 9:30pm each night.

The drumming tuition will run for a period of 20 weeks every Wednesday night beginning on Wednesday 6th February 2013. It will also take place in Drumlough Orange Hall from 7:30pm to 9:00pm each night.

The tuition is open to all within the local community, and everyone will be made very welcome. Light refreshments will also be provided for the participants.

A spokesperson for the band stated, “This activity has been made possible by the support of the Ulster-Scots Agency which has meant that once again, the cost to the participants has been kept to a minimum of 50p per night. We are very grateful for this funding as without it we would be unable to run either of the tuition classes.”

If you are interested in participating and for further details, contact Hugh on 02840638828 (for piping), Kyle on 07724444921 (for drumming) or indeed any band member. Alternatively, just call out to Drumlough Orange Hall any Tuesday or Wednesday night. Further information can also be found on the band’s website, www.drumloughpipeband.co.uk, by sending the band an email at info@drumloughpipeband.co.uk or on the band’s facebook page by searching facebook for Drumlough Highland Pipe Band.
