Delight after Fairview park opens

LAGAN Valley MLA Brenda Hale has welcomed the official opening of the ‘Fairview Playpark’ in Dromore after a long campaign first started by former Dromore councillor, Mrs Norah Beare.

“Mrs Beare was first approached a number of years ago by some local residents about the possibility of the council providing play provision in the local area,” she said. “She lobbied the council and kept this issue to the fore.”

The MLA said she, along with Councillor Hazel Gamble, was “delighted” that the facility, which can be accessed via Fairview, Laganvale and Lynn Cresdent, was now being utilised by children and parents in the vicinity.
