Country fair and auction

ANAHILT Presbyterian Church is holding its biggest celebration yet on Saturday, May 26, to mark its 350th anniversary.

A country fair and auction takes place at Spruce Meadows Open Farm, Ravernet, starting at 11.30am and running utnil two o’clock, and everyone is encouraged to support the event.

There will be a range of stalls selling a variety of items, including bric-a-brac, cakes, flowers and plants, knitted clothes and foodstuffs.

A Kidz Zone, Festival of Food, and bead-making stall will also be part of the fun, as well as face-painting, a vintage tractors and cars display and motorcycle trail demonstration.

The fair and auction is part of a major celebration which takes place throughout this milestone year, as the church celebrates its rich history which goes back to 1662 - only a generation after the Ulster Plantation settlers made the move from Scotland to Ireland.

Money raised from all events will go towards the ‘Vision 2010’ project which comprises renovation work including new toilet facilities, quiet roosm, improved disabled access and a musical stage.

Entrance to the fair and auction is £2, with under-12s admitted free of charge.
