A FORMER military man from Yorkshire who came to adopt Banbridge as his second home, has died after a period of illness.

THE Loughbrickland community has been saddened to learn of the passing of local man, Mr Maurice Russell, at the age of 47.

A 22 YEAR-Old man was due to appear in court yesterday (Monday) in relation to a number of alleged offences in Rathfriland over the weekend.

MR Robert Leslie McDowell passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, on Monday, April 15.
